As a senior advisor with over 20 years experience, my key areas of work have been in consumer engagement, policy, project management, education and training, clinical governance and excellence, workforce development, strategic planning and regulation. My work, knowledge and skills culminates in a commitment to promoting consumer-centred care that is driven by the person’s own health goals, needs, values and expectations.
I consult across government, private and the not-for profit sector to support health and community services, consumers and the broader community to partner in codesign that is collaborative, purposeful and outcomes focused to improve healthcare.
I am a Board member of Consumers Health Forum Australia.
Health Consumer Advocacy in SA
Health Consumer CoLab is the founder and convenor the
Health Consumer Advocacy Network of South Australia (Health CAN SA). The Network is an ever expanding group of consumers, carers and community members who have, through their own lived experience, come together with a common commitment to work in partnership with government and health service providers, to better inform and influence health policy, service delivery, and practice to improve health care in South Australia. The Network provides an independent means to raise their collective voice to share their experiences, perspectives and insights to improve health care. Health CAN SA is recognised as the state-based consumer network in South Australia through its shared Statement of Collaborative Intent with Consumers Health Forum Australia (CHF).
